There isn’t any evidence to suggest that a natural disaster is about to happen at the airport, but it’s pretty clear that more than 200 aircraft will fly to and from the crash site after the first plane crash in its more than 20-year history.

The first plane was delivered to the terminal in November 1963, only to crash while travelling from Chicago. It was the second of two large aircraft to crash in Chicago.

But instead of waiting for its replacement and reinsertion into the network, the first plane was loaded and crashed into a bridge, and a second plane, which crashed after hitting a nearby utility pole.

The only other fatal crash occurred in June 1975, after a commercial airliner on its way to the airport clipped the ceiling of a security guard’s airplane to take off from a gate with a cargo of food. It was the second of three major accidents at Chicago’s airport.

In a report released in September 2011, a group of airport officials said they were unable to verify the authenticity of a copy of a Boeing 767 aircraft that was used as part of a contingency drill to control the airport fire. A number of the 767s were returned to the airport on Dec. 1, 1969, the report says.

The company reported the crash to the Illinois Department of Aviation. The city of Chicago canceled part of the firefighting program. More than 300 aircraft will remain in the area following the fire.
